“Congratulations to Cossette and their creative team Josh Day and Caitlin Keeley, and to photographer Mark Zibert on this prestigious win! The get contemporary. campaign has generated a lot of interest from MOCCA’s supporters and the public. We are very proud to be associated with Cossette and be represented on the global stage.” says David Liss, Artistic Director and Curator, MOCCA.

“Every so often a team will come into my office with not only a great idea, but also a great client partner. This was truly one of those instances. As an agency we are excited about our continued partnership with MOCCA and find inspiration not only from the museum itself…but from the communications it allows us to develop. About the get contemporary. campaign

Ordinary people doing everyday things form the central theme for the award winning campaign launched in the fall of 2011. The people are drenched in hot pink paint as they go about their lives in otherwise average urban settings. This is intended to communicate the idea that contemporary art is a powerful experience that sticks with you. The attention-grabbing imagery is supported by the headline: get contemporary.

MOCCA, Umbra, and Cossette launched the oh so contemporary chair as part of MOCCA’s get contemporarymarketing campaign in the fall of 2012. Following the theme of the popular, eye-catching images depicting people dripping in hot pink paint, the OH chair, designed by Karim Rashid, is drenched in hot pink silicone.

Since 2006, MOCCA draws 40,000 visitors annually.

All programs and activities of the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art are supported by Toronto Culture, the Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, BMO Financial Group, Cisco Canada, individual memberships and private donations.
