On Saturday November 3rd from 7 – 10 p.m MOCCA is hosting the official launch of the 60 Painters catalogue. This 96 page colour catalogue showcases all the work from the recent 60 painters exhibition, plus critical essays about the exhibition by Amanda Clyne and Scott Waters, an article on Denyse Thomasos by John Armstrong, and an interview with curator Scott Sawtell by Bogdan Luca. The catalogue is elegantly designed by Alan Joson.
60 Painters was a major exhibition of contemporary Canadian painting presented from May 18 to June 9, 2012 at the Humber Arts and Media Studios in partnership with Humber College and Lakeshore Arts. Led by curator Scott Sawtell, the sixty painters included emerging, mid-career and established artists, with each creating new works for the exhibition or exhibiting works that were significant to their practice.
The 60 Painters Catalogue is only $25 if you pre-order by October 31st at 4 p.m. ($30 after). You may either pick up pre-ordered catalogues at the MOCCA launch or they will be mailed to you the first week of November. To order, go to www.60painters.com and click on the “Pre-order” button.
