About the artist

Stefan Hoffmann is a German-born artist based in Rotterdam. Using water-based inks, Stefan screenprints directly onto various surfaces including windows, walls and billboards. Drawing upon imagery including pictograms, medical illustrations and 17th century emblem books, he also incorporates visual elements sourced from each working location. Every project involves a gradual evolution of imagery through the combining of new and existing screens, allowing the public to follow the creative process over time.
