Past

November 18 – December 31, 2005

Presented in MOCCA’s Project Space, Impulse Archaeology is an exhibition documenting the seminal Toronto-based, internationally oriented art and culture magazine Impulse, which existed from 1978 through 1992. Curated by Impulse founding Editor Eldon Garnet, the show features hundreds of original artworks, texts, videos, ephemera and other published and non-published submissions to the magazine. In conjunction with the exhibition a series of talks and readings by Impulse contributors will take place at the Drake Hotel. Impulse Archeology is also organized to celebrate the large, hardcover book of the same title published and released earlier this year by the University of Toronto Press.
