Growing up on the West Coast of North America in the latter half of the 20th century, Douglas Coupland’s childhood was imbued with a deep-rooted optimism, a sense that tomorrow would be an improvement on today; a childhood optimism shared by many.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Find a family or childhood photo that represents a key time or event where you felt optimism for the future
2. Get permission from all who appear in the photo to participate
3. Post the photo on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #GROWINGUPUTOPIAN (Private accounts must also direct message photos to @mocca_to)
4. Submitted photos will be printed and added to the photo album weekly and may be featured on MOCCA’s social media channels
At the end of the exhibition, the photo album will be presented to Douglas Coupland
