This week, we celebrate the two-year anniversary of MOCA opening in the historic Tower Automotive Building at 158 Sterling Rd.

We are sincerely grateful to all our donors, members, artists, visitors and supporters for being with us on our journey this far, and we eagerly look forward to sharing our future with you. As thanks, we will be offering free admission all weekend.

Basic Rules

1. Visit us during our anniversary weekend and make sure to keep your ticket
2. Take your creative picture on site
3. Visit one of our participating partners
4. Take an impressive picture at their location
5. Publish both pictures together in a post on Instagram with hashtag #MOCAnniversary
6. Don’t forget to follow our partner and @mocatoronto if you haven’t yet

The Contest runs from 11:00 am EDT, September 25 until 11:59 pm EDT, September 27; winners will be announced the following week.

Local residents should come to pick up or retrieve within 30-days of the winners announcement. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. By entering, entrants confirm that they are 13+ years of age, release Instagram of responsibility, and agree to Instagram’s terms of use; they also waive all moral rights in and to their submitted photos.

To receive a prize, a winner must produce proof of their visit between 11:00 am EDT on September 25 and 6:00 pm EDT on September 27 and the method of payment used for ticket booking. If a winner was not the primary ticket holder, they would produce the ticket holder’s account information.

For prizes from Henderson Brewing and/or Drake Commissary, winners must produce proof they meet the legal drinking age in Ontario.

In addition to the #MOCAnniversary Photo Contest, we are offering the following activities:

Guided Tours

Join us for a drop-in guided tour. Led by one of our Visitor Experience Guides, MOCA tours offer a deeper dive into select works from our current exhibitions and run approximately 20 minutes.

Tours are included with admission and will begin on Floor 1 near the Welcome Desk. Maximum capacity of 10 people. Participants must wear a face mask, and social distancing practices will be in effect. 

Schedule

• Friday at 5 and 6 pm
• Saturday & Sunday at 12, 1, and 2 pm

I Spy Activity Sheet

As you explore the museum, try to find each of these things! The search will take you all over – and even outside – the museum. You can access this activity digitally or in hard copy at the Welcome Desk.
