Winter explodes into spring at MOCCA! – Part one!

TORONTO, Ont., March 31, 2010 – The Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art is pleased to present the exhibitions Untitled Seven and Cinema X: I Like to Watch, programmed and presented in conjunction with the 23rd Images Festival, from April 2 -11, 2010. The opening reception will take place on April 3, from 8 to 11 p.m.

For their debut exhibition in Canada, U.K.-based Emma Hart and Benedict Drew will present Untitled Seven, a site-specific installation as well as a live performance within the MOCCA main space. The live performance, co-presented with Pleasure Dome, will take place on April 3, from 7 to 8 p.m. Admission is $10.00 general, $8.00, students, seniors, and Pleasure Dome Members. MOCCA members are admitted free of charge.

Cinema X: I Like to Watch, presented in MOCCA’s project space, features video works by internationally renowned artists Carlos Aires, Regina Galindo, Bruce LaBruce, Anetta Mona Chisa & Lucia Tkacova, Dani Marti, Erwin Olaf, Steve Reinke & Jessie Mott and Santiago Sierra. Selected by Madrid and Miami-based curator Paco Barragán, Cinema X: I Like to Watch, examines diverse perspectives on sexual representation.
